BPK and SAC of Iran Strengthen the Bilateral Cooperation

The Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) dan the Supreme Audit Court of the Islamic Republic of Iran (SAC of Iran/the SAI of Iran) held the Fifth Joint Seminar at the Sheraton Kuta Hotel, Bali on Tuesday (11/29). The seminar was the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in 2008 in Taheran, Iran. The seminar, which was officially opened by the BPK's Board Member III, Eddy Mulyadi Soepardi, was also as the continuation of the Fourth Action Plan signed in the Fourth Joint Seminar in Teheran, Iran, in October 2015.

During the seminar, the BPK and the SAC of Iran shared knowledge on the training management, the relation between the audit institution and the parliament, as well as tasks and functions of representative offices.

In addition, the seminar also discussed tax audit, audit on sharia banks, and the parallel audit on oil and gas in the upstream sector in both SAIs. At the end of the seminar, Both SAIs signed the Fifth Action Plan, which enhance the relationship between Iran and Indonesia, especially in the field of public sector auditing.

The seminar was attended namely by the Vice President, Audit of Economic & Infrastructure Affairs of the SAC of Iran, Mr. Abdollah Safei Nasab, together with other 3 delegates, the BPK's Principal Auditor VII, Abdul Latief, the Head of Public Relations and International Cooperation Bureau of the BPK, R. Yudi Ramdan Budiman, the Head of the BPK's Training Center, Dwi Setiawan, the Head of the BPK's Representative Office in Bali Province, Yulindra Tri Kusumo Nugroho, and other officials of BPK's Head and Representative Offices.
