BPK Found Cadres’ Wage Peculiarities in Posyandu and PKK in Bekasi

BEKASI - According to the Audit Report of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) on the Finance of the Bekasi Regency, West Jakarta Province, there is an overpayment of 17.6 billion rupiahs. It was found in the wage payment transaction for tens of thousands of cadres of the Integrated Health Services Posts (Posyandu) and the Prosperous Family Education (PKK) Agency for the period of January – June 2014.

According to the Head of the Society Empowerment Office (Kapermas), Bekasi, Saiful Bahri, there are 1,500 Posyandu in Bekasi and 15,000 Posyandu and PKK cadres receiving the wage. Each of them receives 1.2 million rupiahs given every semester or about Rp 200,000 per month.

BPK’s audit found the wage overpayment, which should only be paid for 6 months, starting from July to December 2014 but it was actually paid for 12 months from January to December 2014.

“There is an overpayment for those 6 months and it is obliged for the Head of Kapermas Bekasi to form a withdrawal mechanism for the overpayment of Rp 17,664,000,000 and transfer it back to the Bekasi Government’s cash.” Bekasi Public Relations Division Head, M Jufri, said in the Bekasi Mayor Office, Thursday (7/2).

He explained that the overpayment happened because the legal rules on the wage payment for Posyandu and PKK cadres in the entire Bekasi was issued on July 9, 2014, as stipulated in the Bekasi Mayor’s Regulation (Perwal) No. 25 Year 2014 regarding the Guidance of the Performance Incentive Payment for the Posyandu and PKK Cadres 2014.
