BPK Holds Khitanan, a Circumcision Ceremony

The Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) held a mass khitanan, a mass circumcision ceremony, which was participated by 34 children of 6 to 12 years old coming from families of BPK’s civil servants and other officers. The event was conducted to commemorate BPK’s 69th anniversary and was led by BPK’s anniversary committee and BPK’s woman union (Dharma Wanita), supported by medical team from Mintohardjo Hospital.

The ceremony took place on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at the Baitul Hasib Mosque, BPK’s central office, Jakarta. It was officially opened by the Chairman of the BPK, Harry Azhar Azis, and was attended by the Board Member II, Agus Joko Pramono, the Board Member VI, Bahrullah Akbar, the Board Member VII, Achsanul Qosasi, and other BPK’s officials.

In his welcoming remark, the Chairman said that the activity is the form of social responsibility. “Thank you for all parties helping us to hold this activity. Hope it will be a good and beneficial deed”, he said.

The participants of this mass ceremony were free of charge. It is hoped that this activity can reach many more participants as it can be more inovative in the future.
