BPK to Audit State Assets Revaluation

The Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) will conduct audit on state assets revaluation for the year of 2017-2018. The audit includes all financial statements of Ministries and State Institutions carrying out the revaluation amounted to 82 Ministries and State Institutions in total. This was conveyed by the Vice Chairman of BPK, Bahrullah Akbar during the entry meeting of the audit on the state assets revaluation for the year of 2017-2018 in Jakarta today.



In his remarks, Bahrullah said the audit will be conducted during the second semester of 2018. "Considering the large amount of assets and geographical distribution, we will carry out the audit in the second semester of 2018 before the government prepares the 2018 unaudited financial statements", he said. He also expressed his appreciation for the government that has improved and presented the results of the state assets revaluation in accordance with the Government Accounting Standards (SAP). He further emphasized that assets revaluation results to be presented in the central government financial statements as of December 31, 2018 will be the values that have been audited by BPK.



The state assets revaluation year 2017-2018 has a significant impact on the value of state assets presented in the 2018 financial statements of central government and 82 Ministries and State Institutions. This revaluation will be done towards 945,460 assets with a fair value of Rp 5,728.49 trillion, of which the value has increased by Rp 4,190.31 trillion or 272.42% of the inventory value of Rp 1,538.18 trillion.



On the same occasion, the Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani revealed the very last revaluation conducted by the government was in the period of 2007 to 2010. This revaluation was a follow-up to the issuance of the Presidential Regulation Number 75 year 2017 concerning the Revaluation of State/Regional Assets. The state assets revaluation is carried out by the Ministry of Finance through the Directorate General of State Assets (DJKN) together with the Ministries and State Institutions.



Also attending the entry meeting were BPK Board Members namely Agung Firman Sampurna, Agus Joko Pramono, Eddy Mulyadi Soepardi, officials of Ministries/State Institutions, BPK Principal Auditors, as well as audit teams.
