BPK Vice Chairman Gives Humanitarian Assistance to Earthquake and Tsunami Victims in Central Sulawesi

The Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) handed over the humanitarian assistance to the BPK Representative Office in Central Sulawesi Province. The assistance was to be distributed to the victims of the earthquake and tsunami in Palu and Donggala in Central Sulawesi.

The humanitarian assistance was symbolically handed over by the Vice Chairman of BPK, Bahrullah Akbar to representatives of the victims at the BPK Representative Office in Palu on Friday. On this occasion, Bahrullah Akbar was accompanied by the BPK Secretary General, Bahtiar Arif, the Principal Auditor VI as the Chairman of the BPK’s Corps of Civil Servants (KORPRI BPK), Dori Santosa and the Principal Head of Legal, Nizam Burhanuddin.

The earthquake and tsunami disaster that occurred in Central Sulawesi has been the concern of all elements of society, including BPK. Therefore, through the KORPRI BPK, BPK initiated to raise funds for disaster victims in Central Sulawesi. This assistance is a continuation of those previously distributed, which were in the form of basic necessities, medicines, and logistics and handed by the Chairman of BPK, Moermahadi Soerja Djanegara.

Bahrullah hoped that the aid provided would soon be distributed to the victims so that it could help ease the burden of the people affected. "This assistance is a form of concern for BPK to earthquake victims in Palu and Donggala. Hopefully this assistance can ease the burden of the victims," ​​he said.
