Elections of New BPK Chairman and Vice Chairman
The meeting of the Audit Board held on Friday afternoon (21/4) at BPK Head Office Jakarta, has in acclamation elected Dr. Moermahadi Soerja Djanegara, S.E., Ak., M.M., C.P.A., C.A. as new BPK Chairman and Prof. Dr. Bahrullah Akbar, M.B.A., as BPK Vice Chairman.
Election of Chairman and Vice Chairman of BPK was conducted pursuant to Article 15 paragraph (2) of Law No. 15 Year 2006 regarding Audit Board and BPK Regulation Number 1 Year 2014 regarding Amendment to BPK Regulation Number 1 Year 2009 regarding Procedure for Electing Chairman and Vice Chairman of BPK. In accordance with applicable laws and regulations, the elected BPK Chairman and Vice Chairman shall subsequently take an oath to be guided by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
In addition to the agenda of Chairman and Wakil Chairman election, the BPK meeting decided classification and duties of each BPK Member. Subsequently this classification will be incorporated in BPK Regulation superseding BPK Regulation Number 1 Year 2015 regarding Distribution of Duties and duties and Authorities of Chairman, Wakil Chairman, and Member of BPK RI. Each member will have separate duties and authorities in audit of management dan accountability of state and regional finance dan daerah.
