FGD on the Budget Management of the Special Autonomy in Papua and West Papua and Its Related Issues of Laws

In order to eliminate problems and promote the synergy bertween the Central and Regional Government in managing the special autonomy budget in Papua and West Papua, the Audit Board (BPK) held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on “the Budget Management of the Special Autonomy in Papua and West Papua and Its Related Issues of Laws” on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at the BPK office, Jakarta.

The FGD was officially opened by the BPK Chairman, Harry Azhar Azis, and was attended by the Board Member VI, Bahrullah Akbar, The Board Member III, Eddy Mulyadi Soepardi, the Papua Governor, Lukas Enembe, the West Papua Governor, Abraham Octavianus Atururi, the Speaker of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), The Chair of People’s Assembly, Regents of Papua and West Papua Provinces, and the Director General of the Regional Finance Empowerment (Bina Keuangan Daerah) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Reydonnyzar Moenoek.

The FGD aims at establishing the accountable and beneficial budget management of the special autonomy for the welfare of Papua and West Papua’s people. This purpose is in line with BPK’s vision to become a credibel audit institution to actively promote the accountability and transparency of the state finance management.
