Seven Ministries/Institutions in Audit Entity III Regarded with Disclaimer Opinions
The Board Member III, Eddy Mulyadi Soepardi, accompanied with the Principal Auditor III, Rochmadi Saptogiri, handed in the Audit Report on Ministries/Institutions’ Fiscal year 2014 Financial statements (LHP) to officials of Ministries/Institutions and Non-governmental institutions on Monday, June 15, 2015 at the BPK Ballroom, Jakarta.
In the occasion, the Board Member III said that the main purpose of the financial audit is to provide assurance whether the financial statements are properly presented on all material matters based on the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in Indonesia.
“The Audit Report on Ministries/Institutions’ Fiscal year 2014 Financial statements within the Audit Entity III shows that there are 23 Ministries/Institutions acquired unqualified opinion including ones with explanatory paragraphs, 8 Ministries/Institutions with qualified opinion and 7 with disclaimer opinion”, the Board Member said.
Ministries/Institutions which are regarded with disclaimer opinion are the Ministry of Labor and Transmigration, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Geospatial Information Agency (formerly Survey and National Mapping Coordination Agency), Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia, the public broadcasting of the Radio of the Republic of Indonesia and the Television of the Republic of Indonesia.
Apart from giving opinion on the fairness of financial statements, BPK reports weaknesses of the internal control systems as well as disobediences to Laws and regulations.
