The Cooperation To Strengthen The SAV’s Audit Capacity
As part of the bilateral cooperation signed on November 15, 2011 between BPK and the State Audit Office of Vietnam (SAV), BPK conducted an official visit to the SAV in Hanoi, Vietnam, from June 11 to 14, 2015. The visit encompassed a High Level Meeting between the Chairman of BPK, Dr. Harry Azhar Azis and the Auditor General of SAV, Dr. Nguyen Huu Van, and a Bilateral Workshop on Performance Audit on Official Development Assitance (ODA) Projects.
In the High Level Meeting, it was agreed that the SAV will send its auditors to BPK to learn about performance audit practices. Consecutively, BPK RI will send its Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the SAV. With this cooperation, BPK will be able to help improve performance audit practices in Vietnam to meet the needs of public stakeholders and the restoration of public administration. Meanwhile, in the Bilateral Workshop, BPK shared its experiences and challenges in developing performance audits, as it also discussed the methodology and results of performance audits.
The Chairman of BPK headed the delegates along with the Adviser on Local Government Finance, Ali Al Basyah, the Head of Public Relations and International Cooperation Bureau, R. Yudi Ramdan Budiman, and a Bilateral Cooperation Division staff, Arifa Diniarti.
