Bahrullah: BPK Must be a Learning Organization

JAKARTA, Humas BPK RI – the Vice Chairman of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK), Bahrullah Akbar, said that BPK must be a learning organization comprising of individuals leading the change of working and organizational culture. He further emphasized that in a learning organization, individual capability would influence the organization. If those individuals learned continuously, BPK would become a learning organization that could adapt to changes.

"Through studying, our lives will be better. Ki Hajar Dewantara (one of prominent national educational figures) once said “make every place a school and everyone a teacher”. Therefore, we must continue learning", the Vice Chairman said when opening the Focus Group Discussion on the Academic Writing at the BPK Head Office, Jakarta, Today.

The FGD was held for BPK’s employees in order to improve and deepen academic or scientific writing techniques, as well as to improve their writing knowledge and skills.

The FGD attended by dozens of employees presented resource persons, including the Professor of Tohoku University, Japan, Peter John Wanner, and the Professor of the State Islamic College (STAIN) in Sorong, Papua, Ismail Suardi Wekke.
