BPK 2020-2024 Strategic Plan Must be In Line with the RPJMN

JAKARTA, Humas BPK - The Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) held a Working Meeting Year 2019 themed "With the Strategic Plan, BPK Actively Achieves National Goals". The meeting lasted for two days, from October 7 to 8, 2019.

The Working Meeting was officially opened by the Chairman of BPK, Moermahadi Soerja Djanegara, and attended by the Vice Chairman, Bahrullah Akbar, the Board Member II, Agus Joko Pramono, the Board Member III, Achsanul Qasasi, the Board Member V, Isma Yatun, and all High-Ranked Officials of BPK.

In his speech, Moermahadi said that the theme carried out in this working meeting was a manifestation of the enthusiasm of all BPK personnels in carrying out the new strategic plan for the period of 2020-2024. At present, BPK has been finalizing the technocratic design of the 2020-2024 strategic plan.

The decision to pull forward the strategic plan period was intended so that the role of BPK in overseeing national development can go hand in hand with the implementation of the national development. This, at the end of the day, can further enhance the usefulness of BPK's audit results.

The harmony between BPK strategic plan and the government program as being set out in the National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMN) will make it easier for BPK to determine which government program to be audited.

"BPK Strategic Plan must be prepared carefully and precisely, as it has a very vital and central function in determining the success of BPK in carrying out its main tasks and functions," Moermahadi explained.

Moermahadi further said that based on those background, the vision designed in the 2020-2024 BPK technocratic strategic plan was "becoming a trusted audit institution playing an active role in realizing a quality and beneficial state financial management to achieve national objectives". This vision is intended so that BPK can optimize its mandate as a credible, free and independent state institution, and realize its active role in auditing management and accountability of state finances.

"As its role is getting broader, BPK must improve the quality of its audit results. Thus, it will be able to provide benefits to stakeholders in the context of improving the management of state finances”, Moermahadi further stated.

During this activity, the Certified State Financial Auditor (CSFA) was handed over to Chairman of BPK, Vice Chairman, Board Member II, Board Member III, Board Member V, as well as BPK’s Senior Officials.
