BPK and Ministry Of Health Agree to Cooperate on The Utilization of Health Information System

JAKARTA, BPK Public Relations – The Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) and Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) signed Cooperation Agreement on Data Utilization from Health Information System in the Head Office of BPK in Jakarta, on Tuesday (29/12). The agreement was signed by BPK Secretary General, Bahtiar Arif and Kemenkes Secretary General, Oscar Primadi.

In his remarks, BPK Secretary General says the signing of this cooperation agreement is a follow up to the Memorandum of Understanding between BPK and Kemenkes in 2010.

“The cooperation agreement has been built for a long time, in which both BPK and Kemenkes have a good cooperation in enhancing our synergy and collaboration in order to improve the role and benefits for both institutions,” said BPK Secretary General after signing the agreement.

In addition to that, BPK Secretary General also says that the cooperation agreement is an effort taken by BPK to implement its vision stated in the BPK Strategic Plan 2020-2024, namely to be a trusted audit institution that plays an active role in fostering state finance with high-quality and useful financial governance to achieve state objectives

As an audit institution that eagers to play an active role in improving quality and benefit of the state financial governance, BPK has committed to realizing it happen by strengthening the role of oversight, insight, and foresight in accordance with the Accountability Organization Maturity Model.

BPK Secretary General further says that the role of oversight is conducted to ensure that the state financial governance has been in accordance with law and regulation and has implemented economically, efficiently, effectively, and fairly. Meanwhile, the role of insight is aimed at providing opinion related deepening public policies and issues.

Moreover, the role of foresight aims to assist community and decision makers in choosing future or long-term alternatives. Consequently, in the future, the results of BPK audit will be able to provide insightful and/or foresightful recommendations with a holistic approach in responding to the development of strategic issues of national development, implementation of sustainable development goals, and policies on the dynamics of public issues.

The cooperation agreement on the Data Utilization of Health Information System aims to improve the effectiveness of audit on state financial management and accountability. Data and/or information on the cooperation agreement is used for auditing the state financial management and accountability, as well as for making studies, analysis, research and/or other activities in order to support BPK audits.

Therefore, BPK Secretary General hopes the cooperation agreement can support BPK to become a trustworthy audit institution that actively plays its roles in realizing qualified and beneficial state financial governance to obtain state goals.

The agreement signing was witnessed by Director General of Audit VI, Dori Santosa, Director General of Legal Affairs, Blucer Welington Rajagukguk, and the high-level officials both in BPK and in Kemenkes.
