BPK Hands The Summary of Audit Results of The First Semester of 2022 to The President

Jakarta, Tuesday (1 November 2022) – Chairperson of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) Isma Yatun hands the Summary of Audit Results of the first semester of 2022 (IHPS I 2022) to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, in Jakarta today. Previously, the IHPS I 2022 has been delivered to the House of Representatives (DPR) on October 4, 2022 and the House of Regional Representatives (DPD) on October 7, 2022.

The IHPS I 2022 contains 137 audit reports of the central government, including among others one audit report of the Central Government Financial Statements Fiscal Year 2021 acquiring unqualified opinion, 85 audit reports of ministries/institutions financial statements Fiscal Year 2021 acquiring 81 unqualified opinions and 4 qualified opinions for Ministry of Trade, Ministry of Manpower, National Research and Innovation Agency and Indonesian Institute of Sciences). "In this regard, the unqualified opinion provided in 2021 reaches 95 per cent, exceeding the 2020-2024 RPJMN target of 92 per cent," Isma said.

In addition, the IHPS I 2022 contains 41 performance audit results consisting of 1 audit objects at the central government, 35 audit objects at the regional governments and 5 audit objects at the SOEs. These performance audits cover the audits of the government’s effectiveness in implementing sustainable urban transportation as well as local governments’ efforts to reduce poverty in 34 provincial governments in Indonesia.

The IHPS I 2022 also covers 48 special-purposed audit reports consisting of 5 objects at the central government and 43 objects at SOEs and other bodies. It covers audits of goods expenditures at the Ministry of Manpower and the management of subsidies/public service obligations.

Related to investigative audit results and expert statements, from 2017 to the first semester of 2022, there are as many as 25 investigative audit reports that have been utilized in investigations by the law enforcement agencies. There are 46 reports on the calculation of state losses that have also been used for investigations with 265 cases that have been filed. On the other hands, the expert testimonies provided by BPK for trial has reached up to 324 cases and are entirely used by public prosecutors.
