BPK Introduces Its Corporate University to Support the Organizational Development
JAKARTA, BPK Public Relations - The need for job formation in the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) is still far from ideal. Chairman Agung Firman Sampurna says although the increasing competencies, on the one hand, is to meet organizational needs, the process, however, tends to interfere the ongoing conduct of other organizational tasks.
"It needs a breakthrough or innovation, that efforts to increase competencies in order to meet organizational needs will not be (at the same time) interfering the ongoing conduct of the organization’s roles," Chairman said at the launching of the BPK Corporate University (BPK CorpU) at BPK Training Institute of State Financial Audit (Badiklat PKN) in Jakarta, Thursday.
He says further in his remark that as a learning organization, the BPK needs to respond to developments of information technology to meet various internal needs, including the improvement of human resources.
"Human resources development is primarily directed at increasing competencies of BPK employees, particularly in auditing and audit communication," he said in the virtual launch.
In respond to this, Badiklat PKN then proposed to enhance its capacity to be a Corporate University. According to the Chairman, it is also as the implementation of the BPK Strategic Plan.
He mentions factors encouraging Badiklat PKN in transforming itself into BPK CorpU. First, the development of human resources should be more in line with the strategic plan. Second, BPK CorpU could provide a more applicable, relevant, high impact, and easily accessed human resources development business process. Third, it could establish a learning organization creating knowledge needed for organizational development.
"BPK CorpU offers a solution that all learning programs are pointed at the same direction to that of the goals of the organization," he said at the event attended by Vice Chairman Agus Joko Pramono, Board Members, and officials of BPK Head Office and Regional Offices.
The launching of the BPK CorpU was also presenting a talkshow themed Accelerating the Improvement of Organizational Performance by Implementing Principles of Corporate University. Speakers discussing the matter included BPK Vice Chairman and those from Global Council Corporate University (GCCU), State Administration Institute (LAN), Financial Education and Training Agency (BPPK), and Telkom Corporate University.
