BPK Keeps Good Relationships with Indonesian National Army and Ministry of Defense

JAKARTA, BPK Public Relations – BPK Board Member I Hendra Susanto attended a coffee morning held by the Indonesian National Army (TNI) at the TNI Headquarter in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Attending the event were TNI Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, Air Force Chief of Staff Marshal Fadjar Prasetyo, Inspector General of the Ministry of Defense Lieutenant General Ida Bagus Purwalaksana, Deputy Minister of Defense Lieutenant General M. Herindra, TNI Inspector General Lieutenant General Bambang Suswantono, and BPK Director General of Audit I Novy G. A. Pelenkahu.

In his remarks, Board Member I says that the good relationship is established, especially in relation to the implementation of tasks and functions of BPK and TNI.

"We encourage the TNI Headquarter to be even more professional in terms of managing the state finance. The BPK promotes the synergy to cooperate in technical training on the state financial management that is organized by the BPK Training Institute of State Finance Audit," he said.

"On this occasion, we will also submit a letter to the TNI Commander from us as the Chair of the State Financial Audit I of the BPK regarding the development of the calculation of state losses in the procurement of AW 101 helicopter and the follow up of audit recommendations undertaken by the Indonesian Air Force. We concluded in the letter that the settlement of the problem found in the stated procurement carried out in 2017 will be the domain of the TNI according to its authority," he added.

The coffee morning is expected to keep good relationships and positive synergy between BPK and TNI, as well as the Ministry of Defense.
