BPK Officials Should Optimize The Utilization of Information Technology and Communication

JAKARTA, BPK Public Relations – Vice Chairman of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK), Agus Joko Pramono invites all BPK officials, particularly auditors, to optimize the utilization of information technology in order to help the speed and accuracy of information needed in decision making. This was conveyed by BPK Vice Chairman at the closing of the 2020 BPK Working Meeting, in Jakarta, on Tuesday (8/12).

Agus Joko says as an institution that intensively relies on the data and information to carry out state financial audits, BPK has developed a roadmap for implementation of digital technology and big data towards Center for State Financial Audit Data Analytics.

According to him, the utilization of technology helps not only to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of huge, diverse, and dynamics data analysis, but also to eliminate silo barriers between the working units.

“I encourage all audit teams and review team in working group (Pokja) of the Covid-19 audit to immediately complete the data input so that BPK can begin to capitalize investment in the big data analytics technology. This will also become a model and replica for thematic audit and significant audit in the future,” BPK Vice Chairman emphasized.

In addition to optimizing the utilization of Information Technology, BPK Vice Chairman also asks the Working Meeting participants to be able to respond to and follow up the results of the Working Meeting so that they can be more efficient and effective.

“I ask Directorate General of Legal Affairs to monitor the results of the Working Meeting, and I really hope that the results, including instructions given by Board Member can be followed up properly by all BPK officials,” he added.
