BPK: THERE IS NOT ANY BPK’S ACTIVE OFFICIAL ACTING AS A COMMISSIONER OF STATE/REGIONAL-OWNED ENTERPRISES
Jakarta, Monday (June 29, 2020) - The Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) emphasized that there is not any active official or employee who is also active as a commissioner of State/Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMN/BUMD). This is in response to the news coverage of mass media originated from the statement of the Indonesian Ombudsman Member, saying that there are many state officials doubled in positions as commissioners of BUMN/BUMD, stating one of them is from the BPK.
The BPK needs to clarify that there are BPK retired employees and employees currently employed at another Ministry, who are currently Commissioners of BUMN/BUMD. The prohibition of concurrently serving as a commissioner of BUMN/BUMD for BPK’s active employees is strictly regulated in the BPK Regulation Number 4 Year 2018 concerning BPK's Code of Ethics.
