BPK Vice Chairman Visits the New Education and Training Center in Bali

GIANYAR, Humas BPK - The Vice Chairman of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK), Bahrullah Akbar, paid a visit to BPK’s State Financial Education and Training Center located in Gianyar, Bali, on Friday, after its inauguration on October 10, 2019. He also got the opportunity to have a dialogue with the Head of BPK’s Education and Training Agency, Hery Subowo, together with other several officials.

During the visit, the Vice Chairman revealed the full support from all the Board to the new Bali education and training center, to be developed as an international training center holding trainings for auditors from other countries, in addition to trainings provided for BPK’s stakeholders in the eastern regional governments and the regional inspectorates. He also emphasized the importance of the Certified State Finance Auditor (CSFA) certification and the synergy between BPK’s Education and Training Centers in Jakarta, Medan, Yogyakarta, Makassar and Bali, and the BPK Representative Offices especially in meeting the demands for education and trainings for external parties.

To fulfill its responsibility as a center of excellence for state financial audit training, the Vice Chairman further asked BPK’s Education and Training Agency’s officials to enhance the 'out of the box' thinking in developing curriculum, learning methods, and in utilizing information technology so that it would be able to transform itself into a corporate university specializing in state finance and public sector auditing and accounting.
