The 74th Anniversary: BPK Is Tough, BPK is Trustworthy
JAKARTA, BPK Public Relations – The Board Members of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) along with all of the employees, both in the head office and in the regional offices, attended the opening ceremony of the 74th Anniversary of BPK. The ceremony, opened a series of commemorative activities, was held virtually in a strict Covid-19 health protocols on Friday (13/11/2020).
Having the anniversary theme "BPK is Tough, BPK is Trustworthy", the ceremony was officially opened by the Chairman, Agung Firman Sampurna, and attended by the Vice Chairman, Agus Joko Pramono, the Board Member I, Hendra Susanto, the Board Member II,
In his remarks, the Chairman said that the Covid-19 Pandemic carried new habits in which the BPK was getting used to. The new habits that aimed to keep staying safe and healthy amidst the pandemic were in accordance with the health protocols such as, wearing suggested masks, frequently washing hands, and keeping recommended distance in which all of these had been internalized as the new lifestyle in the BPK. Not only were the crowd and face-to-face meetings avoided, but the communication models were also adjusted to virtual communications that the employees had been familiarized themselves with, as one of the strategies to maintain the good performance in the difficult situation.
"However, the difficult situation will not slow down our performance and spirit to keep improving ourselves with solidarity, creativity, flexibility, and productivity. Therefore, unlike the commemorative activities before, the activities for the 74th Anniversary of BPK are designed specifically to boost our solidarity, creativity, flexibility, and productivity amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic," the Chairman said.
The creative inspirations on how to well manage the commemoration activities, either the competitions, the games, or the skill and art shows, are needed to keep the activities both attractive and competitive, while, at the same time, the activities are to be performed in the strict Covid-19 health protocols, a mitigation of any risks to the spread of the virus. Certainly, despite how the activities are managed in compliance with the health protocols, the spirit of competitiveness, happiness, and togetherness in every anniversary of BPK is not, at the slightest, diluted.
"On behalf of all the Board Members, we invite and welcome all employees working in the BPK, a big family of the BPK, to actively, enthusiastically, and joyously participate and enjoy every activity in the commemoration of the 74th Anniversary of BPK," he said.
"We realize that not only us, but the country and the nation have also been facing substantial challenges due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, therefore, contrary to the virus that weakens our health, we need to be stronger and tougher than before as the theme of the 74th Anniversary, BPK is Tough and BPK is Trustworthy," the Chairman closed his remarks.
Meanwhile, the report delivered by the Secretary General, Bahtiar Arif, mentioned that the series of commemorative activities for the 74th anniversary of BPK ranged from competitions in art to the competitions in creativity that included photography, audio and video podcast, news writing contest, vocal group, individual singing contest, and ketoprak humor or a traditional humorous drama. Not only these, but the activities that most of them were organized virtually also encompassed some sports and skills shows such as, cycling, chess, badminton, body fitness exercises, ball juggling, and archery. To bind and strengthen the ties among the top management and the employees as the big family of the BPK, a family gathering will be organized in January 2021. In the same month, the flag ceremony and the gratitude ceremony will be held as the peak of the series of activities to commemorate the 74th Anniversary of BPK.
