The Board Member V of BPK Commits to Keep Improving Quality of The Audit

BANDAR LAMPUNG, BPK Public Relations– A quality of the audit is reflected in how the audit report of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) is benefitted by the users as a reference in making decisions and policies. The statement was conveyed by the Board Member V of the BPK, Bahrullah Akbar, in his remarks following the inauguration of the BPK Director of Regional Office in Lampung on Monday (9/11).

Bahrullah Akbar said that the BPK committed to keep improving the effectiveness of both the quality control and the quality assurance, not only for the audit but also for the organization, so that the qualified audit would be accomplished.

"As the trust and mandate given by the Constitution, the BPK will keep, in the best efforts, improving its substantial contributions to the national development through the audit on the state finance," he explained in his remarks in the auditorium of the regional office located in Bandar Lampung, the capital city of Lampung.

According to the Board Member, the commitment is in line with vision of the BPK written in the 2020-2024 Strategic Plan "to be a trusted supreme audit institution that actively contributes in achieving qualified and beneficial state financial management to meet the national goals".

Attended the inauguration were the BPK Director General of Audit V, Akhsanul Khaq, the Governor of Lampung, Arinal Djunaidi, the regents and mayors, the Speaker of the Regional House of Representative (DPRD) in Lampung Province, all of the speakers of the regencies and cities regional house of representatives in the area of Lampung Province, and the invitees of vertical organization units in the Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda).

The inauguration officially appointed Andri Yogama, who was previously the BPK Director of Regional Office in Maluku, to assume the office as the BPK Director of Regional Office in Lampung and to succeed Hari Wiwoho, who was inaugurated as the BPK Director of Audit IV.B earlier.

In the occasion, Bahrullah Akbar said that promotion, rotation, and moving among units are part of the efforts needed to always preserve and develop organizational culture of the BPK based on its core values, independency, integrity, and professionalism.

The moving among units for the high-level officials in the BPK, Bahrullah explained, is carried out in consideration of not merely fulfilling the organizational requirements, but the moving is expected to bring a fresh working environment as well as to encourage these officials with enthusiasm to improve their work performance in a new unit.

"As a dynamic organization, the BPK structurally and systematically carries out the promotion, rotation and moving among units in the organization for not only the high-level officials but also the employees," he said in the inauguration that was also well witnessed by the employees in the BPK Regional Office in Lampung.​

Closing his remarks, the Board Member hoped that the BPK Director of Regional Office in Lampung was able to strengthen the existence of the BPK in the area of Lampung Province, to give a solid contribution in the efforts to establish a sound regional financial management, as well as to keep building good communication with all of the working units in the area of Lampung Province.

In addition, the stakeholders in the BPK Regional Office in Lampung were also expected to continue the established good communication and cooperation as well as to keep maintaining both transparency and accountability of either the state financial management or the regional financial management.
