Vice-Chairman Attended IAAC Meeting
Jakarta, BPK Public Relations – Vice-Chairman of the Audit Board (BPK), Agus Joko Pramono, attended the meeting of the United Nations (UN) Independent Audit Advisory Committee (IAAC) held virtually on Wednesday (05/27/2020), at 19.00 West Indonesian Time.
Present at the meeting were IAAC members, namely Janet St. Laurent (United States) - Chairperson, Richard Quartei Quartey (Ghana) - Deputy Chairperson, Dorothy A. Bradley (Belize), and Anton V. Kosyanenko (Russia) and Executive Secretary, Moses Bamuwamye.
This virtual meeting discussed several issues, including the draft of IAAC report on the 2021 budget of UN Office of Internal Oversight Services (OIOS).
During the COVID 19 pandemic, the IAAC coordination meeting was held virtually. In carrying out its mandate, IAAC will contribute maximally to advise the UN General Assembly in fulfilling the oversight responsibilities over agencies under the UN and ensuring compliance of management with audit and other oversight recommendations of oversight bodies such as the Office of Internal Oversight Services, Joint Inspection Units and other oversight bodies.
BPK Vice-Chairman serves as the member of the IAAC period 2020-2022 as the representative from the Asia Pacific Group.
