Continuing SAI20, SAI of India Invites BPK to Senior Official Meeting
INDIA, BPK Public Relations – Continuing successful chairmanship of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) in Supreme Audit Institution 20 (SAI20) of 2022, Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) of India as current chair of SAI20 under G20 Presidency of India in 2023 organized SAI20 Senior Official Meeting (SOM) in Guwahati, Assam-India, on Monday-Wednesday 13-15 March 2023.
Attending SAI20 Senior Official Meeting (SOM), delegates of BPK are headed by Secretary General, Bahtiar Arif, with member of delegates including Director of Public Relations and International Cooperation, R. Yudi Ramdan Budiman. Along with BPK at SAI20 SOM are 6 (six) members of SAI20, they are SAI of Australia, Brazil, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, and Türkiye. Some invitees seen at the meeting are representatives of SAI of Egypt, SAI of Oman, SAI of United Arab Emirates (UAE), and World Bank. Blue Economy and Responsible Artificial Intelligence are becoming theme of SAI20 under chairmanship of SAI of India in 2023.
The first day of SAI20 SOM presents comprehensive overview and shares valuable experience about audit of Blue Economy and Responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI) related issues. Agenda for second day of SAI20 SOM comprises an in-depth discussion about draft of communique that will be approved in SAI20 Summit organized in June 2023 in Goa, India.
The SAI20 SOM was opened by Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India, Shri Girish Chandra Murmu. He elaborated that SAI of India had conducted performance audit of coastal ecosystem conservation, a significant accomplishment to make further evaluation of planning, execution, and mechanism for achieving targets of SDG 14 – Life Below Water. SAI20 as an Engagement Group (EG) of G20 is important group encouraging good cooperation among SAIs, establishing policies, and setting guidance for future implementation.
