Board Member III of BPK Submits Performance Audit Report to LAN and Compliance Audit Report to MA

JAKARTA, BPK Public Relations – Board Member III of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK), Achsanul Qosasi, submitted audit report (LHP) to two audited entities, State Administration Agency (LAN) and Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia (MA), in Jakarta, on Friday (17/2).

The State Administration Agency (LAN) received performance audit report on effectiveness of strengthening innovation ecosystem for period from 2020 to 2022 in State Administration Innovation Centre of LAN and its related departments in Special Capital Region of Jakarta, Banten, Nusa Tenggara Barat, and Nusa Tenggara Timur. The audit report was received in person by Head of State Administration Agency (LAN), Adi Suryanto, in the office of LAN.

Chief Justice of Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia (MA), Syarifuddin, received compliance audit report on implementation of lawsuit civil case trial and case finance management for period from 2021 to 1st semester of 2022 in District Court of North Jakarta, West Jakarta, Denpasar, Tabanan, Mataram, and Praya as well as related agencies under MA. The Chief Justice of Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia (MA) received it in person in the office of supreme court in Jakarta.

In his remarks at the office of LAN, Board Member says that roles of BPK in conducting performance audit in LAN is to ensure all activities for the purposes of strengthening innovation ecosystem conducted in the innovation laboratory of State Administration Innovation Centre in LAN are carried out effectively.

"Using audit strategy to strengthen public service transformation, BPK expects to enhance audit recommendations for some improvements. The audit recommendations will help LAN to make innovation incubation in regional offices is carried out in compliance with regulations. While at the same time, they are aiding LAN to establish a good quality public service," Board Member said.

At the submission of audit report, Board Member reminds some important issues that need close attention of all officials in State Administration Agency (LAN). One of the issues is that display phase as locust for managing innovation laboratory has not been executed by all regional governments.

"BPK concludes that these issues need to be solved immediately, or then they will affect effectiveness of all activities carried out for strengthening innovation ecosystem in the innovation laboratory," Board Member closed his remarks. The submission of audit report was attended by Director General of Audit III of BPK, Ahmad Adib Susilo, Secretary of LAN, Reni Suzana, and many structural and functional positions of both BPK and LAN.

Meanwhile, at the submission of audit report, Board Member explains that some issues need full attention of all official in the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia (MA). The issues include summoning, subpoenaing, and notifying parties pertaining to court decision and legal means have not been executed in compliance with regulations yet.

"BPK recommends chief of district court to instruct court clerk to verify excess differences between over cost and under cost of ingoing delegates and outgoing delegates. Later, the district court is expected to send and to require the delegates to pay the excess differences," Board Member said.

At the submission of audit report, Board Member appreciated achievement of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia (MA) for making follow-up to 1,606 or 99.94% of audit recommendations provided by BPK for period up to 2nd Semester of 2022. Although some audit recommendations could not be followed up for valid reasons, many of the follow ups have been made accordingly.

"To maintain 100% or full completion of follow up to audit recommendations as previous year, there is still 1 audit recommendation or 0.06% of total audit recommendations provided by BPK needs to be followed up immediately," he closed his remarks.
