BPK Inaugurates Regional Management of IPKN in Special Region of Yogyakarta and Central Java
YOGYAKARTA, BPK Public Rleations – The Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) inaugurated regional management of the Institute of State Finance Audit (IPKN) in Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) and Central Java. The inauguration of the regional management of the IPKN in Yogyakarta, to assume office from 2020 to 2023, was taking place in the BPK Regional Office in Yogyakarta on Wednesday (2/9). The inauguration was led by BPK Board Member V, Bahrullah Akbar, who is also the Chairman of National Management Board of the IPKN.
The Governor of Yogyakarta, Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X, and the Major of Yogyakarta, Haryadi Suyuti, were among the attendees witnessed the inauguration in person. Along with the Board Member for the inauguration were the Director General of BPK Training Institute on State Finance Audit, Hery Subowo, as the Vice Chairman of National Management Board of the IPKN, the Director General of Audit VI, Akhsanul Khaq, as the Member of National Management Board of the IPKN, the Director of Training Standardization and Evaluation Center in the BPK Training Institute, Gunarwanto, as the Secretary General of National Management Board of the IPKN, and the officials in BPK.
Bahrullah Akbar said that the regional management of the IPKN would complement the IPKN activities in the region in an effort to develop professional competencies of its regional members. The regional management is also tasked to create a synergy and to incorporate auditors and regional supervisors to improve transparency and accountability of state/regional finance.
"The idea of the IPKN is to build and to improve the competence in auditing the state finance systematically and sustainably," he explained. Bahrullah expected that the IPKN might also serve as the forum for knowledge and experience sharing with other professional organizations having similar objective and competence.
The Regional Director of the IPKN in Yogyakarta, VM Ambar Wahyuni, who is also the Director of BPK Regional Office in Yogyakarta said that the IPKN also organized an online seminar in the same day prior to the inauguration. The online seminar that virtually opened by the BPK Vice Chairman, Agus Joko Pramono, was attended not only by the auditors in the BPK but also by the officials of the Government Internal Supervisory Agency (APIP) in the Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) as well as by the academicians in Yogyakarta.
The resource persons presented in the online seminar with a theme "Sinergi antara Pengawasan Internal dan Pemeriksaan Eksternal Dalam Rangka Mendorong Peningkatan Kinerja Pengelolaan Keuangan Negara" were the Head of Master Program in Accounting in Gadjah Mada University, Abdul Halim, and the Deputy Director of Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) in Yogyakarta, Slamet Tulus Wahyana.
A day before, the Chairman of National Management Board of the IPKN also inaugurated regional management of the IPKN in Central Java, having serving period from 2020 to 2023. The inauguration, taking place in BPK Regional Office in Central Java on Tuesday (1/9), was attended and witnessed in person by the Governor of Central Java, Taj Yasin Maimoen, the Regional Director of the IPKN in Central Java, Ayub Amali, who was also the Director of BPK Regional Office in Central Java, and other officials.
An online seminar having theme "Sinergi antara Pengawasan Internal dan Pemeriksaan Eksternal Dalam Rangka Mendorong Peningkatan Kinerja Pengelolaan Keuangan Negara Sesuai dengan Peraturan Perundangan" was organized along with the inauguration. The online seminar that was virtually opened by the BPK Chairman, Agung Firman Sampurna, invited resource persons such as, the Deputy for Government Supervisory Agency on Politics, Law, Security, Human Development and Culture in BPKP, Iwan Taufiq Purwanto, and the Rector in Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), Jamal Wiwoho.
The IPKN is a professional organization for state finance auditors officially launched on 20 February 2020. It aims at developing and utilizing auditors’ potentials for the interests of the nation. The IPKN organizes activities such as, developing audit standards, methodologies, techniques, approaches, and best practices. In addition, the IPKN also organizes professional development activities for members, educational activities for the community, as well as collaboration with other national and international professional organizations.
