BPK Submits Audit Reports on the Calculation of the State Loss at the Indonesian Export Financing Institution and the Ministry of Youth and Sports to the Attorney General's Office
Jakarta, Thursday, February 1, 2024 - BPK submitted two Audit Reports on the Calculation of State Loss (PKN) to the Attorney General's Office. The audit reports submission took place at the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia on today (1/2).
BPK conducts audit on PKN in response to a request from the Attorney General's Office. The audit results are as follows.
1. Investigative Audit Report in the context of Calculation of State Loss due to Alleged Corruption in National Export Financing implementation by the Indonesian Export Financing Institution (LPEI) from 2013 to 2019. Based on the audit, BPK concluded that there were irregularities indicating criminal acts committed by related parties in national export financing by LPEI to debtors resulting in state financial losses amounting to Rp81,350,012,792.00.
2. Investigative Audit Report in the Context of Calculation of State Loss on Government Fund Assistance to Central Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) at the Ministry of Youth and Sports (Kemenpora) of the Republic of Indonesia fiscal year 2017. Based on the audit, BPK concluded that there were irregularities indicating criminal acts committed by related parties in grant funds management at the Ministry of Youth and Sports resulting in state financial losses amounting to Rp20,491,170,945.00.
Vice Chair of BPK, Hendra Susanto submitted the Audit Reports to the Attorney General ST. Burhanuddin. "We hope that the two audit reports can be optimally utilized in the prosecution and trial process," Hendra Susanto explained. This activity was also attended by, among others, the Director General of Investigative Audit of BPK and the Deputy Attorney General for Specific Crimes.
According to BPK Regulation Number 1 of 2020 concerning Audit Investigative, Calculation of State/Regional Loss (PKN / D), and Providing Expert Testimony (PKA), BPK conducts PKN to reveal the presence or absence of state/regional losses, and is carried out by BPK in the process of investigating a criminal act by the authorized agency.
