BPK Submits IHPS I 2024 to DPR
JAKARTA, BPK Public Relations - In accordance with Article 18 of Law Number 15 of 2004 on the Audit of State Financial Management and Accountability, the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) handed the Summary of Audit Reports of First Semester of 2024 (IHPS I 2024) to the House of Representatives (DPR). The IHPS was handed by Chair of BPK Isma Yatun to the Speaker of DPR Puan Maharani during the Plenary Session of DPR in Jakarta on Tuesday (22/10).
The IHPS I 2024 is a summary of 738 audit reports completed by BPK during the first semester of 2024, consisting of 700 financial audit reports, 3 performance audit reports, and 35 special purpose audit reports. The IHPS I 2024 also includes BPK’s monitoring results on audit recommendations follow-up, state loss settlement, the use of investigative audit reports, and state losses calculation, and Providing Expert Testimony.
For the audit report on the Financial Statements of Central Government (LKPP) for fiscal year 2023, BPK provided an Unqualified Opinion on 79 financial statements of ministries/institutions and one financial statements of State General Treasurer, as well as a Qualified Opinion on four financial statements of ministries/institutions. BPK also audited four financial statements from other entities, including the Annual Financial Statements of Bank Indonesia, the Financial Statements of Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Financial Statements of Hajj Financial Management, all of which obtained Unqualified Opinion. Meanwhile, the financial statements of Financial Services Authority for fiscal year 2023 obtained a Qualified Opinion.
Based on BPK’s monitoring results on audit recommendations follow-up from 2005 to semester I of 2024, 78% of the recommendations have been followed up. The ministries and institutions with high completion rates are Cabinet Secretariat (97.02%), Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (96.38%), and Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (96.27%).
"BPK’s recommendations would provide a much broader impact when there is synergy, support, and commitment from DPR as the main counterpart of BPK to jointly realize the oversight function within the accountability chain of state financial management," stated Chair of BPK in her remarks.
The IHPS I 2024 also reveals the role of BPK in improving state financial governance, including disclosure of issues related to inefficiency and ineffectiveness totaling Rp1.55 trillion, a commitment to support the eradication of corruption through investigative audits and state losses calculation totaling Rp644 billion, and the delivery of strategic recommendations related to issues of non-compliance, the quality of planning, implementation, and reporting of government activities or programs.
Vice Chair of BPK Budi Prijono, Board Member I of BPK Nyoman Adhi Suryadnyana, Board Member III of BPK Akhsanul Khaq, Board Member V of BPK Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi, Board Member VI of BPK Fathan Subchi, Board Member VII of BPK Slamet Edy Purnomo, Vice Speakers of DPR, members of DPR, and high-officials of BPK also attended the meeting.
