BPK Submits Performance Audit Report to ANRI and LPSK

JAKARTA, BPK Public Relations - The Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) submitted Performance Audit Report to National Archive Agency (ANRI) and Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) on Tuesday (29/4). The submission were held separately at BPK Head Office and LPSK Head Office in Jakarta.

Board Member III of BPK, Akhsanul Khaq, along with Director General of Audit III, Dede Sukarjo, handed over the audit reports to Head of ANRI, Mego Pinandito, and Head of LPSK, Achmadi. In his remarks, Board Member III of BPK explained that the audit aimed to assess the effectiveness of working programs implemented by both ANRI and LPSK.

BPK conducted a Performance Audit on the Effectiveness of the Management of Static Archives and Protected Archives in the Implementation of National Archiving Year 2022 to the first semester of 2024 at ANRI.

"Meanwhile, at LPSK, BPK conducted Performance Audit on the Effectiveness of Assistance and Restitution Provided to Witnesses and Victims of Criminal Acts Year 2023 to the first semester of 2024," said Board Member III of BPK.

BPK identified several areas that require special attention from both institutions. To improve governance in these areas, BPK recommended ANRI to perform a vulnerability assessment of archive depots against potential disasters and implement comprehensive mitigation measures. Additionally, ANRI is advised to develop procurement policies that comply with applicable regulations and guidelines by involving relevant working units. It is also recommended that ANRI develop a disaster risk mitigation strategy for archive depots.

Furthermore, BPK recommended LPSK to improve the regulations and provide more detailed calculations as well as supporting documentation for transportation and meal expenses, as part of the compensation components for property loss and psychological suffering.

Board Member III of BPK expressed hope that Head of ANRI and Head of LPSK would encourage their staffs to immediately follow up on the recommendations provided by BPK.

"If the identified issues are not immediately addressed, they may impact the effectiveness of working programs carried out by ANRI and LPSK," stated Board Member III of BPK.

These meetings were attended by high-officials of BPK, ANRI, and LPSK. BPK hoped that the audit results would contribute to performance evaluation and the continuous improvement of ANRI and LPSK in carrying out their duties and functions.
