Taking the Oath of Office, Five BPK Board Members for the Period of 2024-2029 are Ready to Serve

JAKARTA, BPK Public Relations - Five newly appointed Board Members of the Audit Board (BPK) of the Republic of Indonesia for the period of 2024-2029 officially took the oath of office today (17/10) at the Supreme Court Building, Jakarta. The five Board Members are Akhsanul Khaq, Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi, Budi Prijono, Daniel Lumban Tobing and Fathan Subchi.

The oath-taking is carried out based on the provisions of article 16 paragraph (1) of Law number 15 of 2006 Audit Board, which states that BPK Board Members must take an oath or pledge according to their religion before taking office. The oath-taking was conducted in accordance with Presidential Decree Number 112/P of 2024 dated September 26, 2024. The procession was led by Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court for Judicial Affairs Sunarto.

These five BPK Board Members were appointed following a fit and proper test conducted by the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR). The DPR Plenary Session convened on September 10, 2024 approved the appointment by Decree Number 14/DPR RI/I/2024-2025 on DPR Approval for BPK Board Members Candidates for the Period of 2024-2029.

The five new BPK Board Members succeed five previous members whose terms had ended, namely Hendra Susanto (Vice Chair and concurrent BPK board member), Daniel Lumban Tobing (BPK board member), Achsanul Qosasi (BPK board member), Ahmadi Noor Supit (BPK board member), and Pius Lustrilanang (BPK board member).

Akhsanul Khaq previously served as Director General of Audit I of BPK, and Bobby Adhityo Rizaldi was a Member of DPR for three consecutive terms. Meanwhile Daniel Lumban Tobing, who was re-elected for a second term, previously served as Board Member II of the BPK for the period of 2019-2024. Budi Prijono formerly held the position of Inspector General of the Ministry of Defense, and Fathan Subchi previously served as Vice Chair of Commission XI of DPR.

The presence of these five new Board Members brings the total BPK Board Member to nine, including Isma Yatun, Nyoman Adhi Suryadnyana, Haerul Saleh, and Slamet Edy Purnomo.
