Vice Chairman of BPK Highlights Readiness of Auditors to Face Challenges In Digital Era at 2023 Impact in Australia

CANBERRA, BPK Public Relations – Vice Chairman of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK), Agus Joko Pramono, was invited as guest speaker at an international conference namely International Meeting of Performance Audit Critical Thinkers (IMPACT) of 2023. The IMPACT took place in Canberra, Australia, on Wednesday – Thursday, 19-20 April 2023.

Vice Chairman of BPK made a presentation at the second session following welcome address session delivered by Auditor General of Australian National Audit Office (ANAO), Grant Hehir, in the first day of IMPACT. The presentation takes a title, “Attracting and developing the auditor of future and the skills our professions need for a digital world”.

Vice Chairman presents about diverse issues and challenges that will be faced by auditors in the future digital era while at the same time honing their skills to produce high quality audits. He also explains about digital technologies applied for audit processes in BPK such as, Big Data Analytics (BIDICS), Digital Enterprise Architecture BPK (DNA), dan Standardized and Integrated Audit Process (SIAP).

The IMPACT is a conference involving Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) in Australia and Pacific region. It is sponsored by Australasian Council of Auditors-General (ACAG). This year, the IMPACT is organized by Australian National Audit Office (ANAO) in cooperation with Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Audit Office.

Taking a theme “The auditor of the future” for the IMPACT of 2023, it aims to explore technology development and auditor capabilities to adapt to changing business process as well as their impact on the future audits.

High-level representatives seen at the IMPACT were Auditor General of ANAO, Auditor General ACT Audit Office, Michael Harris as co-host and Vice Chairman of BPK as guest speaker. Along with them were 160 practitioners and officials in public sector agencies either from Australia or overseas, high-level officials of Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) in New Zealand, Canada, India, and Samoa, auditor generals of states in Australia regions, professionals of prominent private sector agencies, and performance audit practitioners from multi agencies from Australia and from international communities.​

Representatives of BPK at the IMPACT included Inspector General, I Nyoman Wara, and Senior Advisor of Environment and Sustainable Development, Edward Ganda Hasiholan Simanjuntak, Director of Public Relations and International Cooperation, R. Yudi Ramdan Budiman, and Analyst of International Cooperation, Tri Wahyu Bangun Astuti.
