Hearings on the Reflection of BPK’s 69th Anniversary

Jakarta, Tuesday (Januari 19, 2016) – In the age of 69, the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) holds hearings on the reflection of BPK’s performance and its impact on the improvement of the quality of the state financial management. The hearings is a two-way communication between BPK and its stakeholders.

The topic of hearings taken place in the BPK’s head office was related to the aspects of quality of the audit report and its advantages, as well as the importance of audit communication and professionalism in the audit process. The stakeholders consisting of several parties such as representative institutions, law enforcement officers, the government, non-governmental organizations and academicians sat together to provide suggestions, informing obstacles, as well as giving their perspectives on the BPK’s performance in above-mentioned related aspects.

The Board, officials and all of BPK’s officers become the most important part in the hearings as they were able to understand stakeholders’ perspectives on BPK’s performances. The hearings is open for public to provide an example of transparency and accountability of BPK.

BPK hopes that the hearings could contribute to improve the qualities of the audit process and result, which in turn improve the quality of the state financial management and accountability. Stakeholders, on the other hand, could also gained the whole comprehensive picture of the BPK’s institutional information and knowledge and BPK’s performance as an audit institution.
