BPK Has Been Appointed as the External Auditor for Auditing Performance and Management of the Regional Secretariat of CTI-CFF
Jakarta, Tuesday (March 25, 2025) – The Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) has been appointed as the external auditor for auditing performance and management of the Regional Secretariat of the Coral Triangle Initiative on Coral Reefs, Fisheries, and Food Security (CTI-CFF) for fiscal year 2024. The appointment was made with the approval of Chair of the Committee of Senior Officials (CSO) of CTI-CFF, according to a letter dated March 24, 2025, from the Executive Director of the CTI-CFF Regional Secretariat, Frank Keith Griffin, to Chair of BPK, Isma Yatun.
BPK shall carry out its duties as the external auditor by upholding the principles of transparency, accountability, and efficiency in accordance with international auditing standards. This appointment demonstrates the recognition of the global community to BPK’s capability in promoting good governance and performance within international organizations.
BPK has served as the auditor of the financial statements of the CTI-CFF since 2023. The trust given by CTI-CFF to BPK to conduct the performance and management audits further strengthens BPK’s standing on the international stage.
The Regional Secretariat of the CTI-CFF expressed its appreciation for BPK’s commitment to serve as the external auditor, adding that the collaboration with BPK will significantly contribute to improving the organization’s governance and performance.
BPK’s appointment is a strategic step toward strengthening accountability and governance within the CTI-CFF, as well as enhancing Indonesia’s leadership in the sustainable management of marine resources in the Coral Triangle region.
The CTI-CFF is a multilateral partnership initiative involving six countries in the Coral Triangle region, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines, the Solomon Islands, and Timor-Leste. The initiative aims to protect marine and coastal resources by tackling critical issues such as food security, climate change, and marine biodiversity.
