Submitting IHPS I 2024 to the President, BPK Highlights Improvements in State Financial Governance for Semester I 2024
Jakarta, Thursday (2 January 2025) - Chair of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK), Isma Yatun, highlighted BPK's role in improving state financial governance in the Summary of Audit Reports of First Semester of 2024 (IHPS I 2024). The highlight aligns with the audit findings in IHPS I 2024, which was presented by Chair of BPK to the President of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto in Jakarta, today (2/1).
BPK provided opinion on the Financial Statements of Central Government (LKPP) fiscal year 2023, with an Unqualified Opinion on 79 financial statements of ministries/institutions and one financial statements of State General Treasurer, and a Qualified Opinion on four financial statements of ministries/institutions (the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, and the National Food Agency).
BPK expressed gratitude to the Government for the strong collaboration established to jointly realize the nation's visions and goals, grounded in good governance.
In relation to the formation of Red and White Cabinet, BPK appreciated the issuance of Ministry of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 90 of 2024 on Procedures for Budget and Asset Utilization during the Transition Period within Ministries and Institutions, as well as the Minister of Finance letter on the appointment of Ministries/Institutions responsible for implementing Budget fiscal year 2024.
In the meeting, Isma Yatun also highlighted BPK's role on the international stage as an external auditor for various international organizations (UN specialized agencies, UN related organizations, and UN Panel of External Auditors). To further enhance BPK's international performance, BPK asked for the support of the President of Indonesia in its candidacy as a member of the United Nations Board of Auditors (UN BOA) for the 2026–2032 period that will begin in March 2025 and will be decided by the UN General Assembly in November 2025.
