Board Member III of BPK Equips The Participants of PKA and JFPAP Traning with Performance Management

JAKARTA, BPK Public Relations – Board Member III of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) Achsanul Qosasi gave a public lecture on performance audit to participants of administrator leadership training (Pelatihan Kepemimpinan Administrator/PKA) and functional auditor of junior level (Jabatan Fungsional Pemeriksa Ahli Pertama/JFPAP) education and training. The public lecture held in BPK Head Office on Thursday (31/8).

Board Member III said that the performance management aims to ensure that all levels of an organization work together to achieve organizational goals in an effective manner. Therefore, in carrying out their roles and responsibilities, BPK employees need to have competencies on performance management leadership.

“BPK auditors should have an ability to identify priority programs set by government and issues currently being faced by community,” he said.

“The information will become an essential basis for planning the audit programs,” he added. For this reason, Directorate General of Audit needs to develop an audit program plan so that performance indicator formed based on the plan can be used to assess the value of audit work for representative institutions, community, and other stakeholders.

The public lecture delivered by Board Member III is a form of the implementation of BPK CorpU in involving BPK leaders as sponsors and champion of learning committee of BPK CorpU. PKA and JFPAP education and training, held from 8 May to 6 November 2023, are participated by 37 civil servants of BPK Head Office and Regional Offices.

Board Member III further said that to achieve a stronger leadership transformation, BPK employees need to master the ability to formulate audit objectives and targets that are in line with stakeholders’ expectations. They should also develop appropriate quality indicators and performance targets to measure target achievement.

“All of these steps will equip BPK employees to be effective and proactive transformational leaders in facing the demands of their duties and responsibilities,” he explained.

Director General of BPK Training Institute Suwarni Dyah Setyaningsih said in her report that the objective of PKA is to fulfill basic competencies needed to conduct audit tasks for employees carrying out JFPAP duties in accordance with Regulation of Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform No. 49/2018 concerning Functional Positions of Auditors.
