BPK Inaugurates Director General of Audit VIII and International Organizations
JAKARTA, BPK Public Relations – Chair of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK), Isma Yatun, officially inaugurated Bahtiar Arif as Director General of Audit VIII and International Organizations. The inauguration took place at BPK Head Office in Jakarta on Wednesday (7/5). This inauguration follows BPK Regulation Number 1 of 2025 concerning the organization and work procedures of BPK, and constitutes a strategic step toward tacking the challenges and dynamics of changing times.
In her remarks, Chair of BPK expressed strong expectations that the Director General would carry out his task with full responsibility, integrity, and professionalism.
"As the highest leader of the new Directorate General of Audit VIII and International Organizations, you have a key role in developing this directorate as part of BPK’s institutional transformation," said the Chair of BPK.
The Directorate General of Audit VIII and International Organizations is a new BPK initiative designed to strengthen state financial governance from a global perspective, particularly in the auditing of international organizations.
This work unit is also expected to be a major pillar in BPK’s efforts to develop international trust, including its preparation to assume the Chairmanship of INTOSAI for the period of 2028–2031, and its bidding process to become a member of the United Nations Board of Auditors (UN BoA).
In addition to his new role, Bahtiar Arif continues to serve as the Acting Secretary General of BPK. Chair expressed appreciation for his performance in that role and hoped that similar achievements would continue.
"I sincerely hope that this excellent performance can be maintained and even improved in facing the challenges ahead," she added.
Chair of BPK also reminded all personnel to uphold BPK’s core values: independence, integrity, and professionalism, as well as the State Civil Apparatus (ASN) ideals defined in AKHLAK (Accountable, Competent, Harmonious, Loyal, Adaptive, and Collaborative).
"May all our hard work and dedication be considered an act of worship and bring the greatest benefit to the nation and the state," she concluded.
This inauguration marks an important milestone for BPK in terms of strengthening its national and international strategic position, as well as increasing public trust in its performance.
The ceremony was also attended by Vice Chair of BPK, Budi Prijono; Board Member I, Nyoman Adhi Suryadyana; Board Member II, Daniel Lumban Tobing; Board Member III, Akhsanul Khaq; Board Member V, Boby Adhityo Rizaldi; Board Member VII, Slamet Edy Purnomo; along with High-Level Officials of BPK.
