BPK Appreciates Significant Achievements of National Library and Ministry of Communication and Digital in Completing Audit Recommendations

JAKARTA, BPK Public Relations – The Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) expressed its appreciation for the commitment of National Library of the Republic of Indonesia (Perpusnas) and Ministry of Communication and Digital (Kemkomdigi) in following up on BPK's audit recommendations. The achievements not only exceed the national average, but also demonstrate strong synergy in strengthening governance.

This was conveyed by Board Member III of BPK, Akhsanul Khaq, during the submission of the Performance Audit Reports in Jakarta on Friday (2/5). “We greatly appreciate the percentage of completed follow-ups to BPK's audit recommendations (TLRHP), which has exceeded the national average of 75.00%,” he said.

In a meeting with Perpusnas, led by its Head, E. Aminudin Aziz, it was revealed that out of 550 BPK recommendations worth Rp9.98 billion listed in the TLRHP of the Second Semester of 2024, 446 recommendations worth Rp8.96 billion, or 81.09%, had been followed up in accordance with BPK’s recommendations.

Meanwhile, a separate meeting with Kemkomdigi, attended by Minister Meutya Viada Hafid and Vice Minister Nezar Patria, yielded promising outcomes. According to the TLRHP of the Second Semester of 2024, the Ministry effectively implemented 81.75% of BPK’s 1,535 recommendations valued Rp6.42 trillion, USD 7,122.40, and SGD 248.65.

Board Member III of BPK emphasized that these achievements do not mark the end of the process. “We expect the inspectorate to play an active role in coordinating the implementation of follow-ups in accordance with its authority,” he said.

The two audit reports submitted assess the performance of both institutions across a broad range of fiscal years. This demonstrates BPK’s commitment to fulfilling its constitutional mandate as an auditor of state financial management and accountability.

The Audit Report submitted to Perpusnas is the Performance Audit Report on the Effectiveness of Collection Development and Preservation Activities in the context of the implementation of Perpusnas from 2022 to the First Semester of 2024. Meanwhile, the Audit Report submitted to Kemkomdigi is the Performance Audit Report on Efforts to Prevent the Dissemination of Content Prohibited by Laws and Regulations in the context of the Implementation of Electronic Systems and Electronic Transactions from 2019 to the First Semester of 2024.

Both meetings were also attended by the Director General of Audit III of BPK, Dede Sukarjo, along with other high-level officials from Perpusnas and Kemkomdigi.
