The Chair Of BPK and The Australian Ambassador To Indonesia Hold A Courtesy Meeting to Strengthen Cooperation
JAKARTA, BPK Public Relations - The Chair of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) Isma Yatun received the Australian Ambassador to Indonesia Penny William PSM in a courtesy meeting at the BPK Head Office, in Jakarta, on Friday (11/10).
This meeting aims to increase and strengthen bilateral relations between the Government of Indonesia and the Government of Australia, and specifically between BPK and the Australian National Audit Office (ANAO).
William Rowell from the Department of Foreign Affair and Trade (DFAT), Kristian Gage ANAO Senior Advisor for BPK, Beni Ruslandi Senior Advisor in Central Government Finance, and Kusuma Ayu Rusnasanti Deputy Director of International Cooperation attended the courtesy meeting.
On this occasion, the Chair of BPK expressed gratitude to the Government of Australia for its support of several programs initiated by the Australian DFAT, especially Prospera which has become the umbrella of bilateral cooperation between BPK and ANAO.
The cooperation between BPK and ANAO has been established since 2006 and has grown in maturity, with a shift in focus from technical level training to management, organizational development, and two-way learning between institutions on variety of institutional and technical audit topics.
In the meeting, the Chair of BPK and the Australian Ambassador emphasized the importance of cooperation programs that create more chances for women including women in leadership mentoring program and women with children secondment program.
Furthermore, the Australian Ambassador congratulated BPK on several achievements and contributions in variety of fields, particularly BPK's role in international level.
At the end of the meeting, both parties agreed to encourage stronger and sustainable cooperation and collaboration in the future, both between BPK and ANAO as well as the Government of Indonesia and the Government of Australia in the future.
