BPK Hands IHPS II 2017 to the President
Until 2017, BPK’s recommendations based on the audit result for the period of 2005-2017 have been followed up by audit entities with the handover of assets and/or with the transfer to the state/region/enterprises’ treasury amounting to Rp79.35 trillion. This was conveyed by the Chairman of BPK, Moermahadi Soerja Djanegara, when handing the Audit Summary of the second semester of 2017 (IHPS II 2017) to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Thursday (4/6).
The Chairman of the BPK also stated that in the period of 2005-2017, BPK has submitted 476,614 audit recommendations to its audit entities worth Rp303.63 trillion. IHPS II 2017 contained the monitoring of the settlement of the state/regional loss in 2005-2017, of which it was settled with Rp2,66 trillion.
IHPS II 2017 summarized 449 audit reports consisting of 6 (1%) audit reports on finansial statements, 239 (53%) performance audits, and 204 (46%) special purposed audits. Based on the audit results, BPK revealed 4,430 findings containing 5,852 problems namely 1,082 (19%) weaknesses of the internal control systems, 1,950 (33%) non-compliances with laws and regulations worth Rp10.56 trillion, and 2,820 (48%) problems of inefficiency and ineffectiveness worth Rp2.67 trillion.
