BPK Holds Hearings on the Reflection of BPK’s 69th Anniversary

The Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) held hearings on the Reflection of BPK’s 69th Anniversary themed “Stakeholders’ Perspectives on BPK’s Performance and the Improvement of the Quality of the State Financial Management” on Tuesday (1/19) as part of the commemoration of BPK’s 69th anniversary.

The hearings taken place in BPK’s auditorium was attended by the BPK’s Board Member I, Agung Firman Sampurna; the Board Member V Moermahadi Soerja Djanegara; the Board Member VI, Bahrullah Akbar; the Board Member VII, Achsanul Qosasi; the BPK’s Secretary General, Hendar Ristriawan; the Head of the Principal Directorate of Research and Development, Bahtiar Arif, who also acted as the moderator, and other officials of the BPK.

Also present in the hearings were resource persons such as the Vice Chairman of the House of Representatives of Indonesia, Fahri Hamzah; the Member of the House of Regional Representatives, Ajiep Padindang; the Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, Yuddy Chrisnandi; the Vice Director of the Corruption Court, Kombes Pol Erwanto Kurniadi; the Rector of the State Islamic University of Syarif Hidayatullah, Dede Rosyada; the communication expert, Effendi Ghazali; the Chairman of the Anti-corruption Research Center of Gadjah Mada University, Zainal Arifin Mochtar; the Major of the Bogor City, Bima Arya Sugiarto; the Inspector General of the Religious Affairs Ministry, Moch. Jasin; and the Director of the CNN Indonesia TV, Alfito Deannova Ginting. The hearings also marks the BPK’s first live streaming on YouTube channel.

The Board Member I, Agung Firman Sampurna, underlined the importance of the dialogue between the BPK and its stakeholders. “There are still differences in the public understanding of the BPK’s audit report. The BPK views that the audit report can be used by stakeholders according to their respective authorities and designation”, he explained.

In the hearings, the Tier Certification of Design Documents TIER III was handed by the Managing Director of the South Asia Uptime Institute, John Duffin, to the Board of the BPK. As the first government institution in Indonesia receiving the certification, the BPK shows that its information technology service has been internationally standardized.
