BPK Launches SPKN 2017 and SIPTL Application

The Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) launched the Standard of the State Financial Audit (SPKN) of 2017 and the Application of the Information System of the Follow-up Monitoring (SIPTL). It was conducted in the mean time of the opening ceremony of the renovated BPK's Museum on Monday (1/9) at the BPK's Museum in Magelang, Central Java.

The SPKN is the standard for auditors. As the auditing theories develop while there are dynamic society demanding transparency and accountability and the need to acquire audit reports with additional values, the BPK is insisted to refine the Standard of the Governmental Audit (SAP) formulated in 1995.

In his speech, the Vice Chairman of the BPK, Sapto Amal Damandari, stated that the SPKN is continuously innovated and refined within these recent 10 years. The SPKN of 2017 becomes the milestone of the strengthening of the work quality and the BPK's consistency in drawing up the SPKN to be in accordance with national and international standards.

On the other hand, the SIPTL is the information technology based application designed and developed by the BPK. With this application, the follow-up data of the BPK's audit results, which were formerly manually submitted to the BPK, will be electronically replaced. With this system, processes and statuses of the audit follow-up can be acknowledged and accessed in a real time manner.

"Formerly, it took quite a long time up to 180 days or more. With this application, it will be done within a week, so that there will be not any follow ups that are not finalized. The state money thus can be used efficiently." the Vice Chairman emphasized.

Also present in the launching ceremony were the Board Member II of the BPK, Agus Joko Pramono, the Board Member V, Moermahadi Soerjadjanegara, the Board Member VII, Achsanul Qosasi, the Governor of the Central Java Province, Ganjar Pranowo, the Spokesperson of the Regional House of Representatives of the Central Java Province, Rukma Setyabudi, and the Head of the National Institute of Public Administration of Indonesia (LAN), Major General TNI Joko Setiadi.
