BPK Leaders Receive Honors from Government

The leaders of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK RI) were presented with medals by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia on Monday, 13 October 2014, at the State Palace in Jakarta.

The honor, a Bintang Mahaputera Adipradana medal, was presented by the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, witnessed by Vice President Boediono, to the Chairman of the BPK, Rizal Djalil.

Other BPK RI members Moermahadi Soerja Djanegara, Ali Masykur Musa, Agung Firman Sampurna, Bahrullah Akbar, and Agus Joko Pramono were presented with Bintang Mahaputera Nararya medals by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia.

The presenting of honors by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia is intended to show the Government’s appreciation for the services rendered by individual persons, government institutions, or organizations that have made significant contributions to the nation and state.

In addition to showing appreciation for services rendered to the nation and state, the bestowing of official honors is also aimed at fostering heroism, patriotism and a determination to help boost the progress and glory of the nation and the state, and to set an exemplary example to all citizens and encourage them to make the best possible endeavors in the interests of the progress of the nation and state.

Bintang Mahaputera medal was presented by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia to the Chairman of the BPK RI in recognition of his outstanding services in various fields that benefitted the advancement, welfare and prosperity of the people, the nation and the state, as well as the fact that his services are widely recognized at the national and international levels.
