BPK Finds Several issues in the Financial Statements of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs and Ministry of Investment/Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board for Fiscal Year 2023
Jakarta, BPK Public Relations - The Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) found several issues in the financial statements of the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Financial Statements of the Ministry of Investment/Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) for fiscal year 2023.
This was conveyed by Board Member II of BPK Daniel Lumban Tobing when submitting the audit report on the Financial Statements of the Ministry of Cooperative and SMEs for fiscal year 2023 to Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Teten Masduki, and audit report on the Financial Statements of the Ministry of Investment/BKPM to the Minister of Investment/BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia. The submission was conducted separately at the Office of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs and the Office of the Ministry of Investment/BKPM in Jakarta on Monday (29/7).
“Despite the fact that these issues do not have a significant impact on the presentation of the Financial Statements, it is very necessary that all levels of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs and the Ministry of Investment/BKPM immediately address them,” said Board Member II of BPK.
One of the issues in the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs was that the planning and supervision of the comprehensive data collection activities of cooperatives as well as micro, small and medium enterprises are not entirely in compliance with the provisions.
BPK recommended the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs to instructs the commitment-making officer and the preparation team to be more careful in setting goals, activity plans, and detailed budgets, and to pay closer attention to the clauses of the agreement in the procurement of services in its favor.
BPK found issues regarding the administration of state asset that were not organized in orderly manner at the Ministry of Investment/BKPM.
“BPK recommends the Minister of Investment/BKPM to conduct a census/inventory as well as tracing of state asset and record the results in the list of room items and/or list of other items,” explained Board Member II of BPK.
Despite the issues found, the BPK gave an unqualified opinion on the Financial Statements of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs and the Ministry of Investment/BKPM for fiscal year 2023, in all material respects, in accordance with Government Accounting Standards (SAP).
“BPK appreciates the efforts made by the Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs and the Minister of Investment/BKPM and their staff who continue to strive to improve the quality of state financial governance, so that BPK gives Unqualified opinion for Financial Statements of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs and the Ministry of Investment/BKPM for fiscal year 2023,” said Member II of BPK.
Board Member II of BPK hoped that all levels of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs and the Ministry of Investment/BKPM can continue to carry out concrete steps to follow up the recommendations of the BPK audit results.
The event was also attended by Director General Auditor II Nelson Ambarita, Senior High Leaders Officials, Senior High Leadership Officials, Structural and Functional Officials within the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, the Ministry of Investment/BKPM, and the audit team for the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs and the Ministry of Investment/ BKPM in 2023.
