BPK Finds Some Issues in Financial Statements of Central Java Province Fiscal Year 2022
SEMARANG, BPK Public Relations – Aiming to fulfil constitutional mandate and laws as well as regulations, Board Member V of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK), Ahmadi Noor Supit, submits Audit Reports on Financial Statements of Central Java Province Fiscal Year 2022 and Summary of Regional Audit Results (IHPD) Fiscal Year 2022 to Speaker of Regional House of Representative (DPRD) of Central Java Province, Sukirman and Governor of Central Java Province, Ganjar Pranowo in Semarang, Central Java on Monday (22/5).
Board Member V says in his remarks that based on BPK’s audit, including the implementation of action plan carried out by Provincial Government of Central Java, BPK provides Unqualified Opinion on Financial Statements of Central Java Province Fiscal Year 2022.
He emphasizes that without undermining the success obtained by Provincial Government of Central Java, BPK still finds issues related to regional financial management. The issues that need for immediate follow-up include:
- Realization of financial aids to village government has not been supported by an accountability report on the use of aids;
- Administration of revenue and expenditure originating from independent businesses in State Vocational High Schools (SMKN) is not in accordance with regional financial governance;
- There are discrepancies in contract specification, lack of volume and the imposition of late fine on contract for capital expenditure works in 6 regional apparatus organization (OPD).
Board Member V reminds that based on Article 20 of Law Number 15 of 2004 regarding State Financial Management and Accountability, officials should follow-up audit recommendations.
“An official is required to give response or clarification to BPK on audit recommendation follow-ups. The response of clarification shall be submitted to BPK no later than 60 (sixty) days after the receipt of an audit reports,” he explained.
“Provincial Government of Central Java has succeeded in maintaining the Unqualified Opinion for 12 times. This achievement should be an encouragement to always increase the accountability and transparency of regional financial management as well as improve the quality of financial reports,” he said.
The submission that took place in between the plenary session of DPRD of Central Java Province was witnessed by Vice Speaker and Members of DPRD of Central Java Province, representatives of Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda) of Central Java Province, Head of BPK Regional Office in Central Java, Hari Wiwoho, and high level officials of BPK and BPK Regional Office in Central Java.
