The Inauguration in The BPK Regional Office In Banten to Keep Continuing Synergy with The Stakeholders

SERANG, BPK Public Relations – The inauguration is not a mere ceremonial and tradition, however, the inauguration carries significant and substantial meaning, to keep continuing the duties and functions of the organization in building a synergy and in improving coordination among the stakeholders and the entities of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) in the area of Banten Province in particular.

The Board Member V of the BPK, Bahrullah Akbar, delivered the message in his remarks on the inauguration of the BPK Director of Regional Office in Banten on Tuesday (10/11).

The newly inaugurated Director of Regional Office in Banten, Arman Syifa, was previously posted as the Director of Regional Office in West Java. Whilst, the former Director of Regional Office in Banten, Agus Khotib, will assume the office of the Director of Regional Office in West Java.

In his remarks, the Board Member conveyed a message concerning such as, the BPK needed to keep improving its substantial contributions to the national development through the audit on the state finance. So that, the users of the BPK Audit Report might take the most benefits of it as a reference in making decisions and policies.

"BPK commits to keep improving the effectiveness of both the quality control and the quality assurance, not only for the audit but also for the organization, so that the qualified audit will be accomplished," the Board Member said.

In addition, the BPK should closely scrutinize the needs of the people for transparency and accountability in managing the state finance, either in the central government or in the regional government.

"The people are getting more observant and considerate that the fund used for carrying out the government is trusted and mandated by them to the government officers in their duties and functions, therefore, the transparency in using the fund is a must," the Board Member stated.

The BPK Audit Report on the Financial Statements of Regional Government in Banten, including Province and 8 Regencies/Cities, Fiscal Year 2019 showed that all these regionals governments achieved unqualified opinion.

The unqualified opinion is not an easy title to achieve, therefore, the BPK appreciates all the regional governments in the province/regencies/cities in Banten for their achievement while at the same time, the BPK encourages them to keep the title, the unqualified opinion, lasting in the later audit on the Financial Statements Fiscal Year 2020.

Closing his remarks, the Board Member hoped that the BPK Director of Regional Office in Banten was able to strengthen the existence of the BPK in the area of Banten Province, to give a solid contribution in the efforts to establish a sound regional financial management, as well as to keep building good communication with all of the working units in the area of Banten Province.

In addition, the Board Member also expected the stakeholders of the BPK Regional Office in Banten to continue and maintain the communication and cooperation that had been well established.

Attended the inauguration were the BPK Director General of Audit V, Akhsanul Khaq, Governor of Banten or the representatives, the regents and mayors in Banten, the speaker of the Regional House of Representative (DPRD) in Serang Regency, the speaker of DPRD in Serang City, the speaker of DPRD in Banten Province, and the invitees of vertical organization units as well as the entities of the BPK Regional Office in Banten.
