BPK Appreciates the NTB Provincial Government for Its Ongoing Commitment to Achieving an Unqualified Opinion Since 2011

MATARAM, BPK Public Relations – Board Member I of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK), Nyoman Adhi Suryadnyana, submitted the Audit Report (LHP) on the Financial Statements of Regional Government (LKPD) of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province for fiscal year 2024 during a Plenary Session of Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of NTB Province on Thursday (19/6) in Mataram. The report was handed directly to Speaker of DPRD of NTB Province, Baiq Isvie Rupaeda, and Governor of NTB, Lalu Muhammad Iqbal.

On this occasion, Board Member I of BPK expressed appreciation for the NTB Provincial Government’s unwavering commitment to transparent and accountable regional financial management, which has allowed it to maintain an Unqualified Opinion for the fourteenth consecutive year since 2011.

"We appreciate the NTB Provincial Government for this achievement. This positive outcome is certainly the result of strong cooperation and synergy across all levels of the NTB Provincial Government, as well as support from DPRD of NTB Province in fulfilling its supervisory role," said Board Member I of BPK.

BPK audit identified several issues that require immediate follow-up; however, these findings did not have a material impact on the fairness of the financial statements. These include insufficient supervision and guidance over the financial management of the Regional Public Service Agency (BLUD) of NTB Provincial General Hospital (RSUD), and inadequate management of Education Implementation Costs (BPP) by schools under the NTB Provincial Government.

Prior to the submission of the Audit Report on LKPD for fiscal year 2024, BPK had requested a response from the NTB Provincial Government regarding the preliminary audit findings, which include an action plan to address the identified issues. BPK’s recommendations are expected to be promptly followed up to further enhance the financial governance of the NTB Provincial Government.

"We would like to take this occasion to emphasize that the recommendations provided by BPK must be followed up by the Governor of NTB and his team no later than 60 days after the Audit Report is received," continued Board Member I of BPK.

In addition to the submission of the Audit Report on LKPD, BPK also submitted the Summary of Regional Audit Reports (IHPD) Year 2024, which outlines a summary of the audit results conducted by BPK Regional Office in NTB Province throughout 2024 in NTB region.

Present at the event were Vice Governor of NTB, Indah Dhamayanti Putri; Vice Speaker and Members of DPRD of NTB Province; members of NTB Provincial Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda); Head of BPK Regional Office in NTB Province, Suparwadi; as well as structural and functional officials from both BPK Head Office and BPK Regional Office in NTB Province
