Commemorating its 77th Birthday, BPK Unites for a Greater BPK
JAKARTA, BPK Public Relations – The Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) celebrated its 77th birthday with a ceremony at the BPK head office in Jakarta on Wednesday (17/1). Similar ceremonies were held at all BPK Regional offices and were attended by BPK officials and staff.
In her ceremonial speech, Chair of BPK, Isma Yatun, stated that this special moment gives a good chance to evaluate and reflect on what has been accomplished and to plan for future improvements. Because the 77-year journey that BPK has taken has not been easy.
"It takes courage, enthusiasm, strength, and perseverance, which can only be realized through the commitment and dedication of BPK employee to always maintain the highest standards and quality in carrying out their mandate based on the three main values of BPK: independence, integrity, and professionalism," said the Chair of BPK.
Furthermore, in line with the theme of the 77th Anniversary commemoration, "One BPK, Great BPK," the Chair of BPK emphasized that the integration and synergy of all BPK staff are the main foundation for BPK's continued growth and inspiration.
In this ever-changing era, the Chair of BPK added, BPK's ability to respond to challenges will be the key to organizational development success. Therefore, all BPK staff must have commitment and consistent efforts.
"I am sure, with united commitment and consistent efforts from all BPK people, we will be able to face all challenges and realize common goals," she stressed.
Throughout BPK’s 77-year journey of implementing the constitutional mandate to audit the management and accountability of state finances, BPK has strived to improve the quality and benefits of audits in order to contribute more to achieving state goals.
Apart from saving state money and assets, BPK's achievements have also been recognized on the international stage. These proud achievements include the election of BPK as the host of the 26th International Congress of Supreme Audit Institutions (INCOSAI) in 2028, as well as becoming Chair of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) for the period 2028 to 2031 and Head of the ASEANSAI Secretariat for the period 2024 to 2029.
"This is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of BPK employee which is appreciated by international stakeholders," said the Chair of BPK.
BPK’s 77th Anniversary Ceremony was attended by the Vice Chair of BPK, Board Members of BPK, as well as officials and staff from BPK Head Office, Badiklat PKN, and BPK Regional Office in DKI Jakarta.
Also present at the ceremony were former BPK Board Members and retired BPK staff who were members of the BPK Post-Work Association (Pepaska).
