Exit Meeting Of The Preliminary Audit On The IAEA’s Performance

JAKARTA, BPK Public Relations – Apart from conducting the financial audit, the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) as the external auditor of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for the period of 2020-2021 also carried out an audit on the IAEA’s performance. The preliminary performance audit has been conducted since February 22, 2021. This Wednesday, the audit team holds a virtual exit meeting marking the end of the preliminary audit.

Attending the exit meeting were R. Yudi Ramdan Budiman as the Deputy in Charge of the audit, I Gede Sudi Adnyana as the Technical Controller, Fitriyah as the Team Leader, Budi Setiawan, Bulkhaira, FeryIrawan, M. Luthfiansyah Mosii, and Christiane Rotua Sitorus as Team Members. From the IAEA side, there were Tristan Bauswein, the Acting DG and Head of the Department of Management, Thomas H. Enge, Miroslav Pinak, Andrea Borio Di Tigliole, and Milko Kovachev.

The preliminary performance audit is in accordance with ISSAI 3000 paragraph 99 and is carried out based on the agreement with the IAEA. The preliminary audit is to ensure that the audit is well planned, as to obtain sufficient understanding on IAEA programs and business process. For these purposes, auditors need to do some research to build understanding and to test various audit designs, as well as to ascertain whether required data are available.

The preliminary performance audit uses an integrated thematic approach specifically related to the IAEA business process. In general, it is related to the follow up of previous performance audit, human resources management, and technical cooperation programs.

At the end of the meeting, Yudi Ramdan and the team expressed their gratitude for the hard work carried out both by the audit team and the companion team from the IAEA.
