Lampung Provincial Government Receives 11th Consecutive Unqualified Opinion from BPK

BANDAR LAMPUNG, BPK Public Relations - The Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) submitted Audit Report on the Financial Statements of Lampung Provincial Government for Fiscal Year 2024 during Special Plenary Session of Regional Representatives (DPRD) of Lampung Province, at DPRD office on Friday (23/5). The report was submitted directly by Vice Chair of BPK, Budi Prijono, to Speaker of DPRD of Lampung Province, Ahmad Giri Akbar and Governor of Lampung, Rahmat Mirzani Djausal.

During the meeting, Vice Chair of BPK expressed his appreciation for the commitment and hard work of the Lampung Provincial Government in achieving transparent and accountable regional financial management. As a result, Lampung Provincial Government once again received an Unqualified Opinion for the 11th consecutive year.

"This achievement not only reflects the hard work and strong dedication of the entire Lampung Provincial Government, but also provides clear proof that the collaboration between Lampung Provincial Government and BPK has been highly effective," stated Vice Chair of BPK.

Based on the audit conducted, BPK identified several significant findings that require attention, including inadequate revenue budgeting, expenditure management, and overpayments for official travel expenditures in four regional government agencies.

BPK recommended Governor of Lampung to ensure that financial management is carried out in accordance with regulations and follow up on the overpayments by depositing money to the regional treasury.

In addition to the Audit Report on the Financial Statements of Regional Government, BPK also submitted the Summary of Audit Reports of Regional Government (IHPD), which contains the results of 41 audits, comprising 16 financial audits, 4 performance audits, and 21 special purpose audits.

"BPK expects IHPD for fiscal year 2024 to provide comprehensive information to Governor, DPRD, and other stakeholders, serving as a basis for improving disciplined, transparent, and accountable financial governance at the regional level,” he stated.

Vice Chair of BPK also reminded Lampung Provincial Government not to focus solely on obtaining an unqualified opinion, but also make sure that resources managed are fully used for the welfare of the community.

Therefore, it is crucial to foster synergy among all stakeholders to ensure that every rupiah is used to provide maximum benefit and directly improve public welfare.

The meeting was also attended by Speakers and Members of DPRD of Lampung Province Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda) of Lampung Province, and high-officials of BPK Regional Office in Lampung Province.
