Delivering A Public Lecture, Board Member I of BPK Engages Cadets of Naval Academy to Improve Their Leadership Abilities

SURABAYA, BPK Public Relations - Board Member I of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK) Nyoman Adhi Suryadnyana conveyed messages to cadets of the Naval Academy (AAL), one of which was that they should always strive to improve their leadership abilities.

Board Member I of BPK delivered a public lecture entitled "Building a Transparent and Accountable Organization in order to Realize a Respected Navy in the Region" at AAL Bumimoro, in Surabaya, Monday (19/2).

"To become a national leader, a process must be followed, one of which is character development. I am confident that cadets at the Naval Academy will develop a disciplined soul character, as well as inventiveness and integrity," said Board Member I of BPK.

The vision of Golden Indonesia 2045 is an ideal notion for Indonesia to become a sovereign, developed, just and prosperous country by the age of 100 in 2045. According to Board Member I of BPK, the realization of the ideal notion in the vision is inextricably linked to the support of resources owned in state financial governance.

Therefore, the Navy as a state financial management institution, and BPK as a state financial audit institution, play an important role in realizing transparency and accountability to achieve these great goals in 2045.

"As future leaders, cadets of AAL must have an understanding of how to manage state finances as well as possible, so that they can bring the greatest benefits to the people," he explained during the public lecture attended by Navy Inspector General Rear Admiral Rubiyanto and AAL Governor Major General (Marines) Endi Supardi.

In his public lecture, Board Member I of BPK addressed a number of important things on the transparency and accountability of state financial management. One of them is BPK’s duties and authority in auditing the management and accountability of state finances.

In addition to delivering a public lecture, Board Member I of BPK also held an entry meeting for the audit of financial statements at the regional working unit/East Java Province as the audit object for the Directorate General of Audit (AKN) I.

Leaders of vertical work units in the East Java Province area, including the Head of the East Java Regional Police (Kapolda), Commander of the Military Regional Command (Pangdam) V Brawijaya, and the Chief Prosecutor (Kajati) of East Java Province attended the entry meeting held at the auditorium of the BPK Regional Office in East Java Province.

Director General of Audit I Akhsanul Khaq, high-level officials of AKN I, Head of BPK Regional Office in East Java Province Karyadi, and auditors within AKN I of BPK also attended the meeting.
