Exit Meeting of Audit on IMO Financial Statements Fiscal Year 2020
JAKARTA, BPK Public Relations - Secretary General of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK), Bahtiar Arif, who is in charge of the External Audit Team of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), led the exit meeting on Wednesday, marking the end of the audit on IMO financial statements Fiscal Year 2020.
On the virtual meeting, the Secretary General was accompanied by R. Yudi Ramdan Budiman, Nanik Rahayu, and Endra Noviandy Sujadi as Deputy in Charge, Technical Controller, and Audit Team Leader respectively. The IMO was presenting Arsenio Dominguez as the Administrative Division Director.
In his remarks, BPK Secretary General appreciated the IMO Management and all staff for their support and assistances provided during the remote audit which help the audit be well accomplished. He mentioned that the audit had entered the final stage and would continue to the reporting phase. The audit report consisting of opinion and Long-Form Report will be handed on May 7, 2021, as the team expects that they can present it directly at the upcoming 125th Session of IMO Council Meeting.
During the audit process, the team has provided inputs to improve IMO's financial statements and revise the concept of Secretary-General's Statement, and has also submitted the audit observation to the IMO. The inputs have been agreed by the IMO Management.
The IMO appreciates the audit and responds positively to the audit observation submitted, expecting that the audit results will help improve the quality of IMO's internal control, governance, and practices, while keeping the IMO updated with the UN system and the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS).
The virtual meeting was attended by the audit team members, namely Igna Dias Augustavia, Prima Eka Candra, Pitriyanti, Achmad Rasyid Maula, Normas Andi Ahmad, Yusminarni Syam Zendrato, and Muh Abdur Rohman, and the IMO management and staff, namely Annabelle Viajar, Richard Greenwood, Ingrid Lopez-Cardona, Liya Dominic, Polinikis Sophocieous, Dominic Walter, Ita Mcbride, Bianca Ochs-Fawzy, Vincent Job, Prakash Joshi, Andrew Richardson, Darshana Ranmuthu, and Kas Khan.
