JAKARTA, BPK Public Relations - Agung Firman Sampurna and Agus Joko Pramono officially took the positions of Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Audit Board (BPK) after being inaugurated at the Supreme Court Building, Central Jakarta, Thursday (10/24).

The inauguration and oath-taking of the positions of BPK’s Chairman and Vice-Chairman, guided by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Hatta Ali, was carried out based on Article 16 paragraph (2) of Law Number 15 Year 2006 concerning the Audit Board.

This oath taking was witnessed by Board Members / Head of the State Financial Audit (AKN) as well as officials and employees within BPK. BPK’s leaders from the previous periods, Members of the Indonesian Parliament, and leaders of ministries / institutions were also present to the event.

BPK’s Chairman and Vice-Chairman shall be elected based on deliberation and consensus in the Session of BPK Board Members as outlined in BPK Decree Number 9/K/I-XIII.2/10/2019 concerning the Determination of the Chairman and Vice-Chairman as well as the Division of Duties and Authorities of the Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Board Member I, Board Member II, Board Member III, Board Member IV, Board Member V, Board Member VI, and Board Member VII of the BPK on October 21, 2019.

Agung Firman Sampurna replaced BPK’s previous Chairman, Moermahadi Soerja Djanegara whose term of service had ended. Agung Firman Sampurna had previously been BPK’s Board Member III from April 2012 - July 2013, Board Member V from July 2013 - October 2014, and Board Member I from October 2014 - October 2019.

While Agus Joko Pramono has served as a Board Member III in the period August 2013 - October 2014 and Board Member II in the period October 2014 - October 2019
